Our First-due response area is comprised of most all parts of Franklin County. In addition we provide mutual aid response to several other counties including Adams and Cumberland County.
Fayetteville Fire Department is also a very community oriented department that holds such functions as bingo, public dinners, annual carnival, chicken BBQ’s, annual open house, and several other functions. Fayetteville Fire relies on the on the help, dedication, and hard work from many volunteers to continuously be successful in the service. Live-In’s are asked to attend as many community functions as they are available to attend.
As Live-In’s become oriented with the department and its standard operating procedures, live-in’s will be required to take a standard riding test that all members of the department are required to take as well. As live-in’s complete their probationary period, they will be given the opportunity to become a driver and operator on all department apparatus after completing required drivers training hours. Also after probationary period, live-in’s will be given the opportunity to hold a department fire line officer.
Any persons interested in becoming a live-in, at Fayetteville Fire, will be asked to participate in an informal interview with the live-in membership committee. The live-in committee will then evaluate the application and the interview notes and candidates will be notified within 2 weeks.
In addition to cost-free living, The Ville provides wireless internet, full size workout room, cable TV, wash/dryer, full size kitchen, and areas of studying.
